Complaints cite traffic lights causing Richmond auto accidents

February 25, 2010

WTVR-TV reported a number of complaints were filed regarding traffic lights at the intersection of North First and East Grace in Richmond, which are causing a number of Virginia auto accidents.

Two Richmond auto accidents were reported at the intersection in 2007. An additional two accidents were reported in 2008 and then eight accidents were reported in 2009.

There was a Richmond car accident at the intersection over the weekend, which led officials to investigate the number of accidents occurring at the same intersection.

Officials are looking into taking appropriate steps to redesign the traffic lights at the intersection to help prevent further Richmond auto accidents.
