I Am The Hammer

Born in New Jersey, Lowell “The Hammer” Stanley received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He earned his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School before pursuing a career in corporate tax law. After less than a year on the job, Lowell became weary of defending faceless corporations. Deciding he could make a far more meaningful impact fighting for everyday people, he decided to exclusively handle personal injury cases.

As managing partner of Lowell Stanley Injury Lawyers in Norfolk, Virginia, Lowell has been protecting the rights of thousands of people throughout the commonwealth—including Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Suffolk—for more than 30 years.

Lowell was one of only 50 lawyers in the U.S. selected to participate in the first graduating class of Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College® in Jackson, Wyoming. He also had the honor of teaching trial lawyers and third-year law students at the University of Virginia School of Law’s National Trial Advocacy College for 20 years.

A member of the American Association for Justice and the Virginia State Bar, Lowell was selected for inclusion in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers and the American Society of Legal Advocates’ Top 100 Lawyers in 2013 and 2014.
